Hi, I’m Carolyne – a Cincinnati-based marketing and communications professional originally from a small town in Northern Ohio. I graduated from Miami University in 2022 with a degree in Professional Writing and minors in Journalism in American Life and Fashion Corporate Business, building a foundation rooted in storytelling, editorial craft, and the kind of cultural curiosity that makes content actually interesting to read.

I specialize in content creation, copywriting, and social media management, with hands-on experience writing for and managing platforms including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and corporate blog channels. I understand that every platform has its own language, rhythm, and audience, and I know how to show up differently on each one without losing the thread of a brand’s voice.

Copywriting and brand messaging are where I feel most at home. I care deeply about word choice, tone, and the way a single sentence can shift how someone feels about a brand. I’ve written everything from executive LinkedIn content and corporate blog posts to legal documents, editorial features, and social media campaigns, bringing the same creativity and intentionality into all that I do.

My background spans editorial production, executive communications, social media strategy, and cross-functional project coordination. I’ve supported senior leadership directly, managing calendars, communications, documentation, and reporting in fast-paced environments where organization and discretion matter. I’ve led programs from the ground up, managed vendor relationships, tracked budgets, and worked across teams to keep everything aligned and moving. I’m also a Certified Scrum Master, which means I bring structure and clarity to even the most moving-target projects.

Earlier in my career I worked as a Legal Editor at American Legal Publishing, where I edited and formatted high volumes of legal and governmental content under tight deadlines — an experience that sharpened my eye for detail and my ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality. Before that, I worked as a Legal Secretary and Social Media Coordinator at a law firm, where I managed their Facebook presence, created original content, and even redesigned the firm’s logo and refreshed their visual identity.

I’m also fluent in the tools of the trade. I work comfortably in Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, WordPress, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace, and I’m experienced in building presentations, reports, and branded documents that are as polished visually as they are in writing.

On the creative side, I design window displays for a shop at Findlay Market , one of my favorite places in Cincinnati. I find a real sense of satisfaction in translating a feeling, season, concept, or just a good vibe into a physical space that people stop to look at. I produce original art and DIY work, and I bring the same eye for aesthetics and storytelling to every professional project I take on. I grew up wanting to work at a fashion magazine, and that instinct for visual storytelling, cultural relevance, and knowing what feels current still shapes the way I approach content and brand identity today.

Before all of this, I spent my college summers back home on Lake Erie — bartending at Twin Oast Brewing, a stunning vineyard and brewery tucked away on Catawba Island, and working on the Jet Express, the ferry that carries people across the water to Put-in-Bay. Those jobs taught me more than they probably should have about hospitality, reading a room, staying calm when it’s busy, and genuinely connecting with strangers. Growing up near the lake shaped a lot of who I am — I’ve always been drawn to open spaces, water, and the close knit, fun loving people who tend to be drawn to those things too.

I’m a strong writer first, a creative problem solver second, and someone who genuinely cares about the work she puts out into the world. I thrive in environments that value both creativity and accountability, and I’m at my best when I have the space to bring a real point of view to the work. I’m open to freelance, contract, and full-time opportunities in marketing, communications, content creation, and creative roles — especially projects that sit at the intersection of storytelling, design, and brand identity. I do all of this with the help of my orange cat Toast, who reviews every draft and approves very few of them.
